My Place & Company in Delmar was founded and established in October of 1982 by Noreen A. Giacone and designed by Philip J. Giacone.  In the spring of 1983, their son James joined ranks with his mom and became partners.  Their mission was to serve quality fast food at affordable prices.  All meals are made fresh to order.  It quickly became “the” place to get a quick charbroiled hamburger and a cold beer.   With a “no gimmick, no giveaway philosophy”, we have prided ourselves on a consistent and fair operation. 

From the Western part of New York State, wings were added to the menu to become a famous staple and rating amongst the best in the capital region.  The business and the menu grew with fresh salads, club sandwiches and seafood platters and started delivery service around the town in 1985.   Priding ourselves on being consistent with a good bang for the buck, the business expanded in 1989 and added a Dining Room.  With hard work in the 90’s, we established our niche and became a well respected place in the community and would always laugh when people would say, “ I’ll meet you at MY PLACE”, and would actually go to their house.

George J. Galib joined the ranks in 1993 and with hard work and dedication, he developed into Management.  He expressed interest in operating his own restaurant.  The search was on for a second location and was soon opened in the town of Schodack in 1999, which has given us a presence on both sides of the Hudson.  Both locations are described as “A Family Fun Sports Restaurant”, promoting Eat-in, Take-out and Delivery.  Catering for all occasions and BBQ picnics are also available at both locations.  Large flat-screen TV’s featuring various sports packages, music, quick draw and occasional live entertainment can be found at both locations.
